Simply put: I’m very happy. Here’s a quick glimpse of our wedding:
I’m so grateful to our friends and family who worked big time before the big day to string lanterns, make bouquets, decorate our wedding canopy (a.k.a. a chuppah), and SO much more! That’s my Dad and Aunt Marge below with me, helping out with the decorating.
After a cold and rainy week in California, the sun came out and it was such a beautiful day! I was getting dressed in the house, and so excited to see guests arrive….
My Dad and my daughter walked me down the aisle…
We read our vows — which we hadn’t shared with each other until this moment. (We were so emotional that we didn’t realize so many others were crying, too!)
We exchanged rings…
And a kiss…
As it got dark, we devoured cupcakes… adorned by a cake topper made by one of my long-time single mom friends. Even our cat made it onto the cake topper!
And the surprise performance? A family rock concert to “Don’t Stop Believing” with my daughter singing, Chris playing the guitar, and me on the sax.
As for our surprise caterer…. you’ll just need to wait on that one. Guesses are welcome!
