It would be me with my two beautiful grandkids!

New Edition

A baby is a gift from above,
created from the fruits of love.
Two hands, two legs, two eyes,
just the right length and size.

Open your two eyes and see,
how precious you will always be.
Two feet, two lips, two arms,
we’ll protect you from life’s harms.

We’ll watch you grow each day,
by our side you’ll always stay.
You will never have a clue,
how much love we have for you.

Probably a happy portrait of myself...so when I'm feeling down I can look up and remember I'm so much prettier when I'm happy!!!

I could totally go with a nice beach view too though...for sure.

I'd love more than anything to have the space/time/supplies to PAINT a painting that big...that just would be heavenly. I don't know what I'd paint, but I'd start with a yellow background I think, then maybe paint blue over it. Tres therapeutic!

I would have a picture of my friend and her daughters. But, I would have it given to her to put above her bed. She's a single mom of 2 teenage girls and has been thru a lot in her life, not just with the struggles of being a single parent but medical issues she has faced with herself and her daughter. She has a condition which causes her to have a depleted immune system and her youngest daughter suffers from a malformation of the brain. But, neither her or her daughter let the medical issues they face control their lives. This family is very special to me they all three have a caring and loving heart and none of them would ever ask for help but are always giving of themselves and give what ever they may have to offer. I doubt my friend would even accept a gift like this but I know in my eyes and in my heart that her and her girls deserve it.

I'd do a photo of my kids laughing. Nothing brings me more peace. Their laughter reminds me that anything is possible...but that is because there was a long time when there was no laughter here. So it's a matter of perspective.

I would absolutely print a family portrait. Possibly even a family portrait in the middle and a border of some of my favorite photos of the kids.

I love my kids, ages 3, 5, 7 & 11, but being a single mom can be so hard (im preaching to the choir, right?) The best thing for me to look at every night as I fall into bed would be a poster sized print of my children, smiling. (Because we all know that chances are there were several times during the day that they were not so happy.)

Dr. Leah: Thanks for the reminder that my bedroom is for romance, not for parenting. How did I forget that??

And Judy, thanks for backing that one up! You two are so good. I'm lucky to have you you on my team.
