Greening Your Cleaning

by singlemomseeking on September 22, 2008

This business has paid a fee to be listed on Single Mom Seeking because their products and services are in-line with my philosophies and vision.

Here’s more info about advertising on Single Mom Seeking.

When I decided to advertise, I made a very conscious decision that I would only network with companies that fit in with vision to make the world a safer, cleaner, more humane place to live.

That’s why I’ve decided to work with companies such as Seventh Generation.

Regular home cleaning contributes to better health for my family — and yours. Many popular chemical-based cleaning products contain powerful chemical toxins that may negatively affect our health.

In an increasingly polluted world, I’m trying to do my part to make my home a thriving, safe haven — not a source of toxic chemical loads.

Consumers and health officials have long ignored the dangers of conventional cleaning products. Clever marketing campaigns – not to mention memories of our mothers bleaching every hard surface in the home – promote the familiarity and effectiveness of conventional cleaning products.

Luckily, growing interest in healthy living has resulted in a large number of new and effective eco-friendly cleaning solutions.

Green cleaning products are non-toxic, biodegradable, and chemical free.

Additionally, many solutions are kosher-certified, hypo-allergenic, and not tested on animals.Natural product companies like Seventh Generation and Method, unlike many conventional manufacturers, disclose all of their ingredients.

Compared to chemical-based cleaners, the benefits of natural cleaning solutions to humans, pets, and the environment are enormous.

It doesn’t save us time or money to use conventional cleaning products instead of natural solutions, but we certainly may pay a price later in life from chronic exposure to household chemicals.

Thankfully, finding affordable and effective green-cleaning products is as easy as visiting your nearest supermarket or drugstore. Top brands include Seventh Generation, Ecover, Method, and Mrs. Meyers. Each of these brands offer different products and scents – but all are formulated with your (and the environment’s) health in mind.

For example, industry leader Seventh Generation offers both all-purpose cleaners and products dedicated to kitchen or bathroom use.

Read the book! Single Mom Seeking is a tell-all about how to date and remain a dedicated and involved parent. It’s a spunky, sexy, and moving chronicle of the humor, pitfalls, and rewards of balancing it all — single-mom style.

I am a big fan of Method products. All their products work fantastic and clean better than the chemical-based cleaners. They smell great too!

Hey! I’m sorry to interrupt, and I’ll only take a second. Single Mom you posted a question on my blog and I answered it.

So THIS is your home blog…nice…You live in a far classier side of town than I do. ;)

Ok, I didn’t want to take up too much of your space, but it appears I already have. Best laid plans of Robs and men and all that… Thanks, Rob

Hey Rachel,

Kudos for you….I manage a green cleaning service. One of the most important thing you can do for your home and your family’s health–especially as women, since, sorry guys, we usually end up doing most of the cleaning–is to use safe, non-toxic products.

Hope they’re giving you lots of money!
