My Life

Just back from New York City…

The travelers are weary, but we sure had fun. Thank you to all the single dads who dared to guest blog, and to all of you who kept the conversation going here.

I’ve just downloaded the vacation pics, so here’s a peek:

Mae and I took the red eye to JFK, and headed north on the train to northwest Connecticut. My friend Amanda — we met on our first day of college — has a little cabin up there.

Here’s Mae, hangin’ out with Amanda

Amanda is playing “flip the girls.” Mae did not go under this time…

Mae gone fishin’

Kids’ only canoe

Mae and her friend insisted I take their picture in the butt crack of the charging bull in the Financial District

Cooling off

On my way to go out with my former UPS man

Cartwheels in Central Park, on our last day

I’m so grateful for the time in the woods! Thank you Amanda! And to my intense, loving lawyer friends with your brownstone, it was the best!

Let me guess what you want to hear about first…

  11. Susan: that photo is all blurry because it was one of those self-timed shots, as I ran to the doorway. Hmmm, it does look like a corsage! No flowers… but I did get something else, mmmm.
