I am a single dad. I lost my wife last year. It has been hard for me and especially my son. I can’t be both mom and dad. I am seeking advice and counsel.
Thank you
John – I know what you’re feeling. I’ve been widowed 5 years and it took a cross-country move and a career change for me to finally say “I’m ready”. Honest truth: it will always be hard. Reality: it gets easier every day. I took comfort in my daughter, and reached out and accepted help whenever I was offered any. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and let yourself heal. Everything else falls into place.
John I’ve been widowed twice the last eight years, please fell free to contact me at any time and I do mean ANY TIME. Shoot me an e-mail and I’ll happily give you my phone number.
I agree that kids do not make it any easier to date. I met this really great guy on vdateonline.com and we went on a few dates and when I introduced him to my 8 year old boy, my son threw a fit. He wants all my attention and all my love. It’s so tough. The guy is still sticking around, which is sweet of him. I’m just still trying to get them to get along, with little success.
