Remember the contest this month when I asked you to send in your perfect metaphor for “What’s it like to date as a single mom?”
I asked my Big Girl, Mae, to pick a name out of a hat (actually, it was a little blue plastic toy bin), and she was more than willing.

“Dating as a single mom is like…. eating a pint of (Ben & Jerry’s) ice cream when you’re on a diet.
You know that you probably shouldn’t…. but you crave it, want it, need it, and think that doing so, even against your better judgment, will be ok!”

Ironically, my favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor is Chubby Hubby! (Sadly, I have no good feelings lately about anything with “hubby” in it.) But this was a fun contest and I liked all of the entries.
